Using AI: Similia AI (AI Chat)

Similia AI, also called AI Chat, is a conversational research assistant built into Similia. You can ask it about a case, compare remedies, or explore a rubric, and it answers using your own repertories and Materia Medica, with citations you can open and check against the original text.

How do I open Similia AI?

You can open Similia AI from anywhere in the app:

  • On the home dashboard, click the AI Chat button.
  • In the top navigation bar, click the sparkles icon (Open AI chat).

Similia AI opens as a panel on the right side of the screen. It stays available while you work, and you can start a new chat at any time.

What can Similia AI do?

  • Answer questions about a case, a remedy, or a rubric in plain language.
  • Draw on the repertories and Materia Medica your account has access to.
  • Give citations you can open in a new tab and verify against the source text.
  • Where useful, include a Repertorization card and a Materia Medica excerpts card in its reply.

Can it use my open case?

Yes. When you have an analysis open, Similia AI can use that case's selected rubrics and notes as context, so its answers are grounded in the case you are working on.

  • A chip at the bottom of the chat shows when the open case is in use, for example "Case: [case name] · Sheet A".
  • Case context is on by default. Click the chip to stop sharing the case when you want a general answer instead.
  • Each answer is tagged to show whether the case was used for that message.

Similia AI vs AI Case Analysis

Similia AI is for open-ended questions and quick comparisons. For a full case workup — a differential, suggested rubrics, and Materia Medica highlights for the whole case — open the case and run AI Case Analysis instead.

What do I need to use it?

  • Similia AI is a Pro feature.
  • It uses AI credits. Your credit balance is shown in the chat, and each answer shows how many credits it used.
  • The first time you use any AI feature, you accept the AI data-processing consent prompt once.

Similia AI is a research and study aid. It can make mistakes and does not provide medical advice; always apply your own clinical judgment.
