Using AI: live audio mode (Beta)
Using AI: Live Audio Mode (Beta)
Similia's Live Audio Mode (Beta) lets you record a consultation in real time while the AI:
- Transcribes the conversation as it happens
- Extracts Strange, Rare & Peculiar (SRP) symptoms
- Suggests (and can auto-add) matching rubrics in your selected repertory
Availability: Pro-only and uses AI credits.
How to use it (short version)
- Open a Case and create/open an Analysis.
- Click Live Audio (microphone button).
- Choose a Language and your Repertory (only repertories you have access to will be available).
- Choose a recording mode:
- In person: records microphone only (ideal for face-to-face consultations)
- Online: records microphone + system audio (captures both sides of a video call; requires screen/tab sharing)
- Click Start Recording and proceed with the consultation.
- As SRP symptoms are detected, Similia will suggest rubrics and update your results.
How rubric extraction works
- The AI extracts up to 1 symptom per 2-minute cycle (approximately 30 rubrics/hour maximum).
- SRP symptoms are prioritized in this order: Strange/Rare/Peculiar > Modalities > Sensations > Locations > Causations > Concomitants.
- The AI avoids overly generic rubrics (e.g., "Mind - Anxiety", "Head - Pain") and prefers rubrics with 15–100 remedies.
Switching rubrics (when the AI is close, but not perfect)
When a rubric is added, you can click the ⇄ switch icon next to it to replace it with one of the top alternative rubrics suggested by the AI.
Auto-reconnect
If your connection is interrupted during a session, Live Audio will automatically attempt to reconnect and recover any pending summary data.
Notes, credits, and privacy
- Always review suggestions: this feature is in beta; you make the clinical decisions.
- Credits: credits are consumed for transcription/processing (usage depends on session length and AI processing).
- Privacy: the audio recording is not saved. Only the full transcript and an AI summary are saved to the notes of that analysis.
