Similia Community Calls

The Similia Community Call is a free live session on Zoom, run every two weeks by the Similia team. There is no registration and no cost — you join with the link when the call starts.

When are the calls?

The call is every other Wednesday, alternating between two editions at different hours, so that every timezone gets a comfortable slot. Each edition therefore comes round every four weeks. It is one community: come to either, or both.

Because the cadence is every two weeks rather than a fixed week of the month, check the Community page or your calendar subscription for the exact dates. Each call runs 60 minutes. Times are anchored to UK time, so the hour in your own timezone shifts when the UK changes to or from summer time. The Community page shows each upcoming call in UK, ET, PT and Sydney time, plus your own local time when it differs from those, and a "Month at a glance" calendar of the coming dates.

Occasionally a one-off event, such as a guest webinar, takes the place of one call, and it can start at a different time from the usual edition. The Community page then lists it among the upcoming calls with a "Special event" tag and a Details link to the event's own page. The "Month at a glance" calendar, your calendar subscription and the dashboard announcement also show the event in place of the regular call.

How do I join?

Every call happens at the same address, so you can bookmark it once:

The link never changes between calls. When a special event has taken the place of a call, the same link takes you to the event's room shortly before and while it runs. When a call is running, the Community page at https://similia.io/community shows a "Live now — come in!" marker next to it.

When a call is coming up, an announcement bar also appears on your dashboard inside the app, from 24 hours before the call starts until it ends. Its Join call button becomes active when the call starts, and Learn more opens the Community page. Dismissing the bar hides it for that call only, and only in that browser; the next call is announced again.

When a special event takes the place of a call, the bar announces it earlier, up to a week ahead. Its join button carries the event's own label (for a webinar, Join webinar), becomes active when the event starts and opens the event's own Zoom room, and Learn more opens the event's page instead of the Community page. Dismissing this advance notice does not hide the bar for good: it returns once more when the event goes live.

Adding the calls to your calendar

Rather than noting each date by hand, you can subscribe to the Similia calendar once. Every upcoming call then appears in your calendar automatically, Zoom link included, and if a time ever changes, your calendar picks up the change the next time it refreshes the subscription.

The Community page offers one-click subscription buttons — Subscribe in Google Calendar, Subscribe in Apple Calendar and Subscribe in Outlook — and shows the feed address under Subscription URL with a Copy URL button. The Apple Calendar and Outlook buttons open your device's default calendar app; if you use Outlook on the web or another app, use Copy URL instead. The feed works with any calendar app that supports iCal feeds — copy the URL and choose "Subscribe from web" or "From URL" in your calendar's settings.

The two editions appear in your calendar as "Similia Community Call (lunch edition)" and "Similia Community Call (evening edition)". A special event appears under its own name.

What happens on a call?

A relaxed hour with the team behind Similia — not a slide marathon and not a sales pitch. Each call covers:

• Latest updates — what is new in Similia since the last call, shown live by the team.
• Tips & tricks — a short deep-dive into one part of Similia: repertorisation, materia medica, AI tools, case management, and so on.
• Open Q&A — bring your questions about features, workflows, or how to handle a tricky analysis.
• Feedback & ideas — tell the team what to build next. Community suggestions directly shape the roadmap.

What if I cannot make it?

Every call is recorded and shared with the community afterwards. The Community page links to the recordings on YouTube.

When a special event has taken the place of a call, its recording is shared on the event's own page. That page is linked from the event's entry in your calendar subscription, and from the Details link on the Community page until the event ends.

Do I need a Pro subscription?

No. The Community Calls are open to everyone, on any plan, including Free.
