Similia Pricing and Subscription FAQ

Is Similia free to use?

Yes. The core platform has a Free plan that can be used indefinitely.

What's in Similia Pro and how much does it cost?

Similia Pro unlocks premium libraries and advanced tools. There are four Pro options.

Monthly plans

Pro Murphy includes Murphy's MetaRepertory and Murphy's Nature's Materia Medica (4th ed.). Pro Complete includes Complete Repertory 2026. Pro Saine includes Saine Repertory 2025.

Annual plans

Annual billing gives roughly one month free compared with paying month by month.

Which features are Free vs Pro?

Free includes:

Pro adds, depending on edition and add-ons:

Do I need a credit card to try Pro?

Yes. Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe, so a card is required to start a subscription.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Pro subscriptions have a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers. If your account has had a subscription before, the trial may not be available again.

What happens when a Pro trial ends or I cancel Pro?

Your account reverts to Free. All your data stays intact. Access to Pro-only libraries and features is removed until you subscribe again.

What currency is used?

Pricing is geo-localized. The app currently surfaces USD, EUR, GBP, and INR for eligible regions. India-based INR checkout requires an Indian-issued card. Some other regions may also see localized pricing or discount handling that requires a local card.

For India-based accounts, the main Pro plans use INR. One-time purchases use USD unless the checkout page shows a different currency. Some monthly add-ons, including Meditative, Griffith, and Richard Pitt, are not currently available on INR subscriptions.

Turkey regional pricing uses card validation and may require a Turkey-issued card. Some subscription add-ons and Vermeulen one-time products are excluded from the Turkey regional discount.

If I move countries, does billing change?

No. Billing follows your account and plan. Checkout and billing show the currency used for your next purchase or renewal.

Are discounts available?

Yes. Student discounts are available. Time-limited promotions may also appear. Discounts generally do not stack.

If you have a discount or promo code, enter it in the "Add promotion code" field on the Stripe checkout page when you start or change a subscription. Codes tied to a school or partner are issued by that school or partner. The promotion-code field is not shown on credit-pack purchases.

Where can I manage my subscription and add-ons?

You can view and manage your plan, billing details, subscriptions, and add-ons from the Shop page inside the app.

Premium repertory subscription add-ons

If you already have one Pro edition, you can mix and match premium repertories as subscription add-ons.

Monthly subscription add-ons

Annual subscription add-ons

Subscription add-ons are added to the existing subscription using the saved payment method. When a plan or add-on is changed mid-cycle, Stripe calculates the prorated charge or credit.

One-time purchases

One-time purchases give permanent access to the purchased add-on, subject to any access requirement shown in checkout.

Vermeulen one-time add-ons do not require a Pro subscription unless the checkout flow says otherwise.

AI credits

AI-powered features use AI credits. Active Pro subscriptions receive 100 AI credits at each subscription renewal. When renewal credits are granted, Similia adds them to your current balance.

Student Complete access receives 1,000 initial AI credits.

Additional credit packs are available from the credits modal:

Purchased credits are added to the current balance after Stripe confirms the payment.

AI analysis requests require a positive credit balance before they start. If the balance is zero or below, Similia blocks the request and asks the user to buy more credits or wait for the next subscription renewal.

Credits are deducted from the balance after AI usage is measured. Text and image AI calls are charged from model token usage. Live Audio Mode can also deduct credits for audio transcription minutes.

Can I switch between Pro editions?

Yes. New subscribers choose monthly or annual billing at checkout. To change your edition or billing interval later, use Manage subscription on the Shop page. If you have active subscription add-ons and want to switch base plans while keeping them, the app asks you to contact support, and your add-ons carry over to the new plan.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

You can cancel at any time from the Shop/Billing portal to stop auto-renewal. Your account remains Pro until the end of the paid period, then reverts to Free with all data preserved.
