Yes. Similia's classical core is free forever, with no time limit. The Free plan includes: * **7 classical repertories** — browse and repertorize * **21 classic Materia Medica books** * **AI semantic search** in the repertory * **basic case management**, capped at 3 new cases and 3 new analyses per month Pro adds the AI toolkit, unlimited cases and analyses, and offline mode (Beta) in the installed app (not during the free trial). Premium repertories and Materia Medica come with the Pro edition or add-on that includes them; some are also sold as one-time purchases, including on Free (see "One-time purchases"). Reaching the monthly cap on new cases or analyses does not lock you out: browsing the repertory and reading the Materia Medica stay available on Free without limit. Materia Medica search, by contrast, needs paid access. ## What's in Similia Pro and how much does it cost? Similia Pro unlocks the AI toolkit and advanced tools, and its editions add premium libraries. There are five Pro editions, each available as a subscription billed monthly, annually or, outside India and Turkey's regional pricing, every 3 years. A new subscription still starts with the 14-day free trial (for eligible accounts), and the 3-year price is charged when the trial ends. * Coupons and promotion codes don't apply to the 3-year price. * The 3-year plan isn't offered in India or with Turkey's regional pricing. * The Meditative, Richard Pitt and Griffith add-ons aren't available on the 3-year plan. ## Is there a lifetime or pay-once option? Yes: **Lifetime Pro**. It is Pro Base paid once, at $1,999 / EUR 1,699 / GBP 1,499, or in 12 monthly payments of $199 / EUR 169 / GBP 149. On the payment plan it is yours for good after the 12th payment. * It includes everything in Pro Base, plus 1,000 AI credits once. There is no monthly credit allowance. * Premium repertories and books are not included. Lifetime Pro holders can add Murphy MetaRepertory, Nature's Materia Medica, Complete Repertory, Saine Repertory, Suggesta 2.1 and Mangialavori 100 as one-time **Lifetime Pro add-ons**, which last as long as the licence. The Meditative, Richard Pitt and Griffith packages aren't available with Lifetime Pro yet. * AI case analysis needs a premium repertory. On Lifetime Pro, that means one of the Lifetime Pro add-ons Murphy MetaRepertory, Complete Repertory, Saine Repertory or Suggesta 2.1, or Suggesta 2.1 from an earlier one-time purchase. * There is no free trial and no coupon or discount. A full refund can be requested within 14 days of buying. * It is sold in USD, EUR and GBP and isn't offered in India or Turkey yet. * Choose the **Lifetime** tab next to the billing periods on Pricing or in the Shop. If you already subscribe, buying Lifetime Pro cancels the subscription and credits the unused time already paid for. An edition and any add-ons on that subscription end with it. A Lifetime Pro Bundle, which combines Lifetime Pro with five of those add-ons, is also available. For full details, see "Lifetime Pro: Pay Once for Similia Pro". ## Which features are Free vs Pro? Free includes: * classic repertory access * classic Materia Medica library * Semantic Search in the repertory * up to 3 new cases per month * up to 3 new analyses per month Pro adds, depending on edition and add-ons: * AI-powered Photo & Notes features * AI Analysis (Beta), which also needs at least one premium repertory (from an edition, a subscription add-on, a Lifetime Pro add-on, or an earlier one-time Suggesta 2.1 purchase); Pro Base alone cannot start one * Similia AI (Beta), the AI Chat assistant * Live Audio Mode (Beta), whose automatic rubric suggestions also need a premium repertory (Murphy, Suggesta 2.1, Complete, Saine, Meditative or Griffith); without one, it still transcribes and writes the summary * Case Timeline * unlimited cases and analyses * Periodic Table of Elements * Materia Medica Search * Jan Scholten's Materia Medica series * offline mode (Beta) in the installed app, outside the free trial (for example once a subscription is active, or with Lifetime Pro); see "Using Similia Offline (Beta)" * premium libraries by edition, such as Murphy, Complete, or Saine * optional add-ons AI-toolkit operations use AI credits (see "AI credits" below). ## Do I need a credit card to try Pro? You need a payment method, but it does not have to be a card. Pro subscriptions, including the 14-day free trial, start on Stripe's checkout page, which shows the payment methods available to you. Besides cards, these can include PayPal. With a free trial, the subscription price is first charged when the trial ends. Checkouts with India (INR) pricing or Turkey's regional pricing accept cards only. The Free plan needs no card. RMDY Academy students can try their student package without a card while the offer is open (see "Are discounts available?"). ## Is there a free trial? Yes. Pro subscriptions have a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers. If your account has had a subscription before, the trial may not be available again, but you can still subscribe without a trial. An account that has ever held Lifetime Pro gets no free trial, even if the licence was refunded or its payment plan stopped; once the licence has ended, it can subscribe without a trial. Lifetime Pro itself has no free trial. The Free plan is not a trial: it has no time limit. Until 31 October 2026 (Australian Eastern time), RMDY Academy students can instead try their student package free for 14 days without a card (see "Are discounts available?" below). ### Trial eligibility messages Before a trial starts, Similia checks that it is eligible. If it isn't, the trial does not start and a message explains why. For example: * "This payment card has already been used for a free trial. Contact support if this is a shared card." * "A free trial requires a permanent email address. Update the account email in Settings or contact support." * "Another free trial is not available for this account. Contact support to request a review." * "This device or network has already been used for free trials. Contact support to request a review." * "This card can't be used to start a free trial. Please try a different card, or PayPal." * "Too many trial attempts from this account or network. Try again later or contact support." This limit is temporary and lifts by itself. Some of these messages offer "Continue to a paid subscription without a free trial? Stripe will show the amount before confirming payment." If you think a refusal is a mistake, for example on a shared card, contact support to request a review. ## What happens when a Pro trial ends or I cancel Pro? During the 14-day trial you already have everything in the plan you chose except offline mode, which starts once the subscription is active, so there is nothing to upgrade. Unless you cancel before the trial's end date, the trial converts to the paid plan automatically and the first payment is taken on that date. To choose a different edition during the trial, use **Switch plan** in the Shop. If you cancel, your account reverts to Free when the trial or the paid period ends. All your data stays intact. Access to Pro-only libraries and features is removed until you subscribe again, and offline mode turns itself off on each device after syncing any waiting changes. ## What currency is used? Pricing is geo-localized. The app currently surfaces USD, EUR, GBP, and INR for eligible regions. In other countries (Australia, for example), Pro plans and purchases are charged in USD, and your bank converts the amount at its own exchange rate. India-based INR checkout requires an Indian-issued card. Some other regions may also see localized pricing or discount handling that requires a local card. The RMDY Academy student package is the exception: it has one price in Australian dollars (AUD) for every buyer, wherever they are. A card in another currency is converted by your bank. For India-based accounts, the main Pro plans use INR. One-time purchases use USD unless the checkout page shows a different currency. The Meditative, Griffith, and Richard Pitt add-ons are not currently available on INR subscriptions. The 3-year plan and Lifetime Pro are not offered in India. Turkey regional pricing uses card validation and may require a Turkey-issued card. Some subscription add-ons and Vermeulen one-time products are excluded from the Turkey regional discount. The 3-year plan and Lifetime Pro are not offered with Turkey's regional pricing. ## If I move countries, does billing change? No. Billing follows your account and plan. Checkout and billing show the currency used for your next purchase or renewal. ## In which language are receipts and invoices sent? Stripe receipts and invoices follow the language saved on your Similia account. Stripe supports 15 of Similia's 18 languages. Accounts set to Hebrew, Bengali or Hindi receive them in English. After you change language, the new one applies from your next checkout, your next visit to the billing page, or the next subscription event, such as a renewal. ## Are discounts available? Student discounts are available, and time-limited promotions appear from time to time. Discounts generally do not stack. Coupons and promotion codes don't apply to the 3-year plan or to Lifetime Pro. **Partner schools.** Similia has collaborations with schools that give their students and graduates a partner discount. If you have studied with a partner school, write to **info@similia.io** from the email address linked to your Similia account and say which school; the discount is applied to your subscription for you. **RMDY Academy students.** RMDY Academy students have a dedicated student package, so they don't need to request a discount by email or start a regular Pro trial: 1. Create or sign in to a free Similia account and verify its email address. 2. Open the student package page from the link RMDY Academy gives its students. 3. Enter your RMDY student ID to try the whole package free for 14 days. No card is needed and nothing is charged. There is one trial per student ID and one per account. 4. Buy the package on the same page, with or without a trial first. You can pay in full or interest-free over 3 or 6 months, at one AUD price for every student. The package can't be bought while the account has a Similia subscription or a Pro free trial that hasn't ended. Cancel a Pro free trial first with **Manage Subscription** in Settings → Plan & billing, then buy the package. A paid subscription has to end first: let it run out, or contact support. Trials can be started, and the package bought, until the end of 31 October 2026, Australian Eastern time. If a trial is still running after that date, the package can still be bought until the trial ends. If you can't find the link, ask support in the chat. **Student discounts.** Write to **info@similia.io** from the email address linked to your Similia account, saying which course or institution you are studying with. Similia confirms what applies to your case once your student status is verified. It is simpler to arrange this before your first payment than afterwards. **Using a code you already have.** Enter it in the **"Add promotion code"** field on the Stripe checkout page when you start a monthly or annual subscription. Some one-time purchases accept codes the same way. The field is not shown for the 3-year plan, Lifetime Pro, credit packs, or checkouts with Turkey's regional pricing. Switching to the 3-year plan ends any discount on your current plan. **Codes from a school or partner** are issued by that school or partner, not by Similia. If a code your school gave you is not accepted, ask them to confirm the exact code and that it is still valid. These codes are usually time-limited and tied to a specific plan. If it still will not apply, write to info@similia.io rather than subscribing at full price. ## Where can I manage my subscription and add-ons? Open **Shop** in the app: * **Switch plan** on another edition changes your edition. * The **"3 years, 6 months free"** card with **Switch to 3 years** moves a monthly or annual subscription to the 3-year plan. * **Add to plan** and **Remove** on the add-on cards add or remove subscription add-ons. * The Mangialavori add-on has no Shop card: add it with **Add to subscription** in the window that opens when you choose Suggesta 2.1 or Mangialavori 100, and remove it in Settings → Plan & billing. * **Manage Subscription** at the top opens the Stripe billing page, where you update your payment method, see invoices and cancel. **Settings → Plan & billing** also has **Manage Subscription**, and lists your **Active add-ons**, each with a **Remove** button. If the Stripe billing page offers only a cancel option and you wanted to change plan rather than cancel, contact support instead of cancelling. ### Removing an add-on Each active add-on has a **Remove** button in Settings → Plan & billing. The Murphy, Complete, Saine, Meditative, Richard Pitt and Griffith add-ons also have one on their card in the Shop; the Mangialavori add-on is removed in Settings → Plan & billing only. Similia asks you to confirm ("Remove ...?") and explains two things: access to the add-on ends immediately, and no credit is issued for unused time in the current billing period. It then confirms that the add-on has been removed from your subscription. You do not need to cancel the whole subscription to drop one add-on. ### Switching plan Use **Switch plan** on the edition you want in the Shop. Similia opens the Stripe billing page to make the change, and Stripe calculates any prorated charge or credit for the rest of the current billing period. There is no in-app button for moving between monthly and annual billing. Contact support to change it. **One important exception:** if you have active subscription add-ons, the app cannot switch your base plan on its own. It shows a "Contact Support to Switch Plans" message instead. Contact support and your add-ons are carried over to the new plan. ### Switching to the 3-year plan 1. In **Shop**, find the **"3 years, 6 months free"** card and choose **Switch to 3 years**. 2. The **"Switch to the 3-year plan"** dialog shows the **3-year price**, the **Credit for unused time on the current plan** and the amount **Due today**. 3. Confirm with **"Pay [amount] and switch"**. During a free trial, the button reads **Switch to 3 years**. During a free trial, the trial continues and nothing is charged until it ends, when the 3-year price is charged. The 3-year price is final: discounts on the current plan don't carry over. If your subscription is set to end, resume it in **Manage Subscription** first. Remove any Meditative, Richard Pitt or Griffith add-on before switching. The card isn't shown for INR billing or with Turkey's regional pricing. ### Removing a translation added during a trial A Complete Repertory translation (German, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian) added at a trial checkout is billed with the first invoice when the trial ends. Until then you can remove it: 1. Open **Settings → Plan & billing** and find **Trial translation add-ons**. 2. Choose **Remove** beside the translation, then confirm. The unpaid charge is cancelled and trial access to that translation ends immediately. Your Pro subscription and other add-ons continue. A translation bought separately stays available. Self-service removal is not available once billing begins or in the final five minutes of the trial; contact support instead. ## Premium repertory subscription add-ons If you already have a Pro subscription, you can add premium repertories and packages as subscription add-ons. They bill at the same interval as your plan. You can also tick optional add-ons on the Stripe checkout page when you first subscribe (not with India (INR) pricing or Turkey's regional pricing; the Meditative, Richard Pitt and Griffith add-ons aren't offered on the 3-year plan). * The Murphy, Complete and Saine add-ons need another premium edition: Pro Murphy, Pro Complete, Pro Saine or Pro Suggesta 2.1. * The Mangialavori add-on (Suggesta 2.1 Repertory and Mangialavori 100 Remedies Materia Medica) can be added to Pro Murphy, Pro Complete or Pro Saine. Use **Add to subscription** in the window that opens when you choose Suggesta 2.1 or Mangialavori 100. * None of these four is available on Pro Base: switch to the edition you want instead. * The Meditative, Richard Pitt and Griffith add-ons can be added to any Pro subscription, Pro Base included. Subscription add-ons are not available with Lifetime Pro, which has no subscription to carry them. Subscription add-ons are added to the existing subscription using the saved payment method (**Confirm & Add**). Adding one charges a prorated amount for the rest of the current billing period straight away, then the add-on price at each renewal. During a free trial, nothing is charged when you add it: it is billed with the first invoice when the trial ends, and a saved payment method is still required. Removing an add-on ends access immediately and gives no credit for the unused time. The Complete Repertory translations are the exception: buying one needs an active Complete subscription (Pro Complete or the Complete add-on); the Complete Repertory Lifetime Pro add-on does not qualify. A translation works while you have Complete access, and the German translation isn't sold in India or Turkey. Owning a one-time purchase does not unlock Pro-only tools. ### Vermeulen Prisma: one volume or the whole collection The four Prisma volumes — Concordant Reference, Synoptic Reference 1, Synoptic Reference 2 and Prisma Reference — are each sold on their own, or together as the Vermeulen Ultimate Prisma Bundle. A locked volume in the Materia Medica offers the book you clicked, with the complete four-volume collection underneath it. If you already own the bundle, you have all four volumes; nothing changes. ### Suggesta 2.1 and Mangialavori 100 These two works are available in two ways: * **With a subscription:** the Pro Suggesta 2.1 edition includes both the Suggesta 2.1 Repertory and the Mangialavori 100 Remedies Materia Medica for as long as the subscription runs. On Pro Murphy, Pro Complete or Pro Saine, the Mangialavori add-on adds both. * **With Lifetime Pro:** holders can buy each one once as a Lifetime Pro add-on: Suggesta 2.1 at $299.99 / EUR 249.99 / GBP 199.99, and Mangialavori 100 Remedies Materia Medica at $119.99 / EUR 99.99 / GBP 89.99. They last as long as the Lifetime Pro licence. They are no longer sold as one-time purchases to accounts without Lifetime Pro. Anyone who bought them one-time earlier keeps them. ## AI credits AI-powered features use AI credits. A Pro subscription adds 100 AI credits for each month of paid time, when each billing period is paid: 100 at each monthly renewal, 1,200 at each annual renewal and 3,600 at each 3-year renewal. Similia adds them to your current balance. Unused credits carry over and do not expire; you can keep using them until the balance runs out. A 14-day trial starts with 100 credits: * **Monthly plan:** these 100 credits are the allowance for the first paid month, so no further credits are added when the trial converts. The next 100 arrive at the following renewal. * **Annual plan:** 1,100 more credits are added when the trial converts (the year's 1,200 minus the trial's 100). * **3-year plan:** 3,500 more credits are added when the trial converts. When you switch to the 3-year plan partway through a billing period, its 3,600 credits are reduced by the credits already given for the unused months of your current plan. Lifetime Pro includes 1,000 AI credits once and no monthly allowance. Student packages that a school arranges through a Similia invitation include 1,000 AI credits once, with no monthly allowance. The RMDY Academy student package is different: each payment option on its page shows the AI credits it includes. Credit packs are one-time purchases with no automatic renewal, and using the AI tools still requires an active Pro plan. AI analysis requests require a positive credit balance before they start. If the balance is zero or below, Similia blocks the request and asks the user to buy more credits or wait for the next subscription renewal. Credits are deducted from the balance after AI usage is measured. Text and image AI calls are charged from model token usage. Live Audio Mode can also deduct credits for audio transcription minutes. ## Can I switch between Pro editions? Yes. New subscribers choose monthly, annual or 3-year billing at checkout (the 3-year plan isn't offered in India or with Turkey's regional pricing). To change your edition later, use **Switch plan** in the Shop. To move a monthly or annual subscription to the 3-year plan, use **Switch to 3 years**. If you have active subscription add-ons and want to switch base plans while keeping them, the app asks you to contact support, and your add-ons carry over to the new plan. ## How do I cancel or change my subscription? You can cancel at any time to stop auto-renewal. Open **Manage Subscription** in the Shop or in Settings → Plan & billing, and cancel on the Stripe billing page. Your account remains Pro until the end of the paid period, then reverts to Free with all data preserved. Until then, the subscription can be resumed from the same page.
